You're probably thinking, where even or what is Tioman island. Many people (including myself) do not even know it exists. Tioman island has very similar landscapes to the famous Seychelles. The crystal clear blue water, palm trees and rock formations make this island very unique. Tioman island is located off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, about 32 kilometers from the mainland. Getting there is part of the adventure! First, you have to drive 5 hours to the other side of the country at the Mersing port and then catch a ferry which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. For a quicker (and more scenic) route, there are also small planes that fly to Tioman from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, landing at the Tioman Airport.
