After landing in Kasane, I took a short 45 minute drive to the lodge. The moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles from the staff and a refreshing drink. The setting was breathtaking—the lodge blends seamlessly with nature. I could hear birds chirping and even caught a glimpse of an elephant in the distance.
The staff made me feel at home instantly, and my Kasane forest accommodation was nothing short of spectacular.

I stayed in a standard room, and it was perfect! My favorite feature was watching the sunrise from the comfort of my balcony.

One of the main reasons I chose Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge was its incredible game drives. Chobe National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos—aka the Big Five.
My first game drive started early in the morning. Our guide, an expert tracker, led us through the park in an open 4x4 vehicle. Within minutes, we saw a herd of elephants bathing in the watering hole and giraffes eating from the trees. It felt surreal.
The evening game drive was just as magical. The sunset over the African bush, combined with the sight of buffalo grazing peacefully, was something I’d never forget. The staff even put together a bonfire for us.
The next morning, I went on a Chobe River cruise. It was a completely different perspective on wildlife. From the boat, I watched hippos bobbing in the water, crocodiles sunbathing on the banks, and elephants swimming!
One of the unexpected highlights? The food. Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge has a private chef; every meal is top-tier. From fresh-baked bread in the morning to gourmet dinners under the stars, everything was prepared to perfection.
My time at Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge was beyond incredible. It’s rare to find a place that offers wild adventure and ultimate comfort in equal measure. The combination of luxurious accommodations, thrilling game drives, and outstanding hospitality made this trip unforgettable.
If you’re looking for Chobe National Park accommodations that give you the best of Botswana, I highly recommend staying here. Whether it’s your first safari or your tenth, this place will leave you in awe.
