Self-Guided ATV Tour of Santorini, Greece

March 07, 20242 min read

Besides Oia which is the most popular area in Santorini, Greece. The rest of the island seriously has so much more to offer as well. During my time here, my friend and I rented an ATV to explore the island ourselves. It’s way better to do it this way vs taking a taxi, just make sure you have an International Drivers' License along with your regular license because it is required in Greece to operate any vehicle. You can get one easily for $20 by clicking here. Santorini is easy to drive around because it only takes about 45 minutes to drive from the bottom to the top and vice versa. Traffic and parking are not bad either.

Tip for Renting an ATV in Greece

Make sure to rent your ATV in FIRA. ATV's can get sold out fast. I would recommend reserving your ATV either a day in advance or the morning of. There are plenty of rental places. It will cost approx. $27 USD cash.

Make sure to have Google Maps and roaming data on your phone for this tour

Use the Airalo App to have an eSim card

Check that your phone is unlocked before departing to Greece. If it is, I would highly suggest getting the Airalo App and downloading an eSim Card instead. Airalo is an app that allows you to have easily accessible cell data plans all over the world without needing a physical Sim Card which is what makes using your phone without wifi extremely convenient. Use my code ARIAHN516 for $ off!
